Lids and bands are the consumable side of home preserving. The good news: only the flat sealing lid is single-use. The screw band, rubber seal, or clip that holds it during processing can be reused season after season — as long as it shows no rust, warping, or damage.
We stock sealing lids and bands for every jar brand we carry — Ball Mason, Bell Mason, Weck, Rex, and Le Parfait — in singles, packs of 12, and bulk packs of 60.
Ball Mason flat sealing lids are single-use for canning — the sealing compound compresses once and cannot be relied on a second time. Screw bands, Weck clips, and Le Parfait wire bails are all reusable. Rubber seals should be inspected before each use and replaced if stretched, cracked, or discoloured.
